The company was started by Emil Frei Sr. when he emigrated from Germany to the United States in the late 1800s. Since then every generation of Frei's has continued the operation. Currently the company is run by fourth generation Stephen Frei. The Frei's are devout Catholics, but their work ranges from churches of various denominations to hospitals to homes. From concept to creation the Frei Co. has no shortage of work according to Stephen and has planned projects up to ten years out.
The Frei Co. specializes in using hand blown glass from Germany that is of the highest quality. Their team of experts trained in the Liturgical arts design, create, repair and ship literally tons of glass each year.
The atmosphere in the small, secluded, shop is very laid back and family-oriented. Stephen is good-natured and hard working and is always ready with a joke and a smile.
